Valley Custom Cutting is a butcher shop and Free-Standing Meat Plant in Smiths Falls. Owned and operated by Dan and Angie Hoysted, Valley Custom Cutting has a fantastic team of skilled butchers, packers and retail staff help who help bring you the highest quality, local and Canadian meats.
Valley Custom Cutting is more than a traditional butcher shop. Our beautifully appointed storefront offers a fresh meat counter providing custom cuts of local and Canadian meats to walk in customers. Our well-stocked, self serve freezer section gives customers the option for larger custom freezer orders.
Our Free-Standing Meat Plant is located behind the scenes, which offers custom meat cutting, packaging and additional services (sausage making, labeling, pricing) to local meat producers. Valley Custom Cutting works with surrounding abattoirs in order to facilitate the transportation of product to the plant for processing.
All products for both the butcher shop and producers are processed in our new state of the art cutting facility, featuring new coolers and freezers and modern equipment; staffed by skilled and qualified butchers and packers. Valley Custom Cutting has attained its Free-Standing Meat Plant License and is inspected by (OMAFRA) as well as the Public Health Unit. The entire facility has been professionally designed to maximize efficiency, organization, sanitation and aesthetics.
A butcher by trade, Dan has been working as a butcher full time for the past 14 years has gained quite a reputation with local producers in Perth, Smiths Falls and the surrounding area for his professionalism and skill.
A construction project manager and drafts person by trade, Angie joined the team at Valley Custom Cutting once Valley Custom Cutting was constructed. Her skill set developed as a project manager comes in quite handy as Angie takes care of all things required for running a Provincial Meat Plant and Full Service Butcher Shop.
