2nd Annual Epilepsy Awareness Fundraiser
at Valley

Our Why

1 in 100 people have Epilepsy Our Daughter is one of them...  After her diagnosis we were put in touch with Epilepsy Ottawa.

This organization has been an incredible resource for us as well as our daughters school.  They came very quickly to educate the staff & students at both of her schools over the years about what Epilepsy is and how they can help someone who is having a seizure.

Epilepsy Ottawa helped the kids understand that they don’t need to be afraid, but to be a friend and make sure this person who cannot help themselves is safe, comfortable & when to call for help. It was a great source of information for all who got to attend that day. This is only one aspect of all the amazing programs they offer families in our area.

Who is Epilepsy Ottawa?

Epilepsy Ottawa is a not-for-profit, charitable agency dedicated to improving the quality of life for those living with epilepsy or seizure disorders and those closest to them through support services, education, advocacy, and on-going public awareness. Epilepsy Ottawa provides services to those affected by epilepsy in the Ottawa region, including the wider rural communities (Lanark County, Renfrew County, Prescott-Russell County, and Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Counties). About 10,000 people in this area have been diagnosed with epilepsy. The effect of an epilepsy diagnosis goes beyond the individual; it impacts the entire family.

Last Year we raised over $5600 for Epilepsy Ottawa!!!! It was an incredible success!!
